Chainomics is an online marketplace for the semiconductor industry. Our mission is to help stakeholders in the global microchip market navigate the increasingly complex international trade landscape and build diverse supply chains with deep visibility.

Our flagship product, Chainomics Vantage Point, delivers two key functions:

• Quantitative risk assessments for countries in the global microchip procurement network under three indices: Resilience, Efficiency, and Sustainability (RES)


• A comprehensive database of suppliers from upstream to downstream, backed by critical business intelligence

Our Methodology

We pivot supply chain risk assessment to the country level, focusing on external risks that are typically outside of suppliers' control but have a decisive impact on supply chain performanc. Such risks include but are not limited to political stability, public health security, and the rule of law environment.

The assessment is strictly quantitative and centers around three key indices: Resilience, Efficiency, and Sustainability (RES)

• Resilience: how vulnerable a supply chain is to disruptions and how quickly it can recover to normalcy after being disrupted


• Efficiency: how cost-effective and time-saving a supply chain is


• Sustainability: how well the operations along a supply chain contribute to ecological health and socio-economic well-being

Each RES index is influenced by a multitude of parameters, and each parameter is the mathematical result of several more granular indicators, necessitating the continuous monitoring of 14 variables. We source up-to-date data from reputable organizations such as the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the World Bank, the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), central banks, academic institutions, and non-partisan think tanks, as well as from our own developed databases.
